Encounter Tables - System Specific or no?

First of all, thank you to everyone that chimed on on the last community dev question! It means a lot, and is very helpful. The revised project will have Geomorphs, but I am going to redraw them on a grid, for easier copying. There will also be a table to roll on for more abstract spaces, in case you don't want to draw the geomorphs.

And in this spirit of making this project more universal, the next big thing I am hoping to receive feedback on, is the Encounter Tables. The main iteration of these sheets is compatibility with Original D&D , White Box, FMAG.

But I received numerous questions: Will you release this for Cairn, Shadowdark?

I'm not sure I really want to do all that.

SO - I am playing with leaving the monster tables blank. If you get the book, and want to play System "X", you can copy your desired stats of monsters into the tables!

I'd love to know folks' thoughts on this. That way you can tailor it.

Thanks again for all the support!

I'd just keep the specific systems you have, and release a blank one that maybe other people can remix and distribute for their own favourite systems.

I don’t know if it would be much work to offer both OSR and blank. I think OSR is easy to shift from if you don’t play that, but there’s the obvious benefit of blank stats. In the end, your work is great whatever you choose and we appreciate you in all of your endeavors.

although i'm a regular solo player of White Box FMAG (and thus appreciated its previous inclusion), i believe system neutral is the way to go in this ever-changing ttrpg market. whats hot today will always be replaced by whats hot tomorrow, and the beauty of your solo sheets is its universal appeal. either way i'm a fan. do what thou wilt.

I think I'd prefer encounter tables without stat blocks. It's really useful having appropriate creatures for each dungeon level, but I'd like to use the sheets for various systems.

These are a great resource and I really like the geomorphs! Thanks!

OSR stats are very cool and much appreciated! Good thing is they are easily adapted :)

JP Covert just released his Dragon Town box set which includes a system-neutral stat block system. This might be something you could adapt for these sheets if you wanted.

I love have the OSR Stats and i don´t even use OSR Systems.  I use World of Dungeons and Ironsworn, but being OSR a simple system largely know is easy to transport to any other system.

That said i think that is better to pick any system and go with that information because made the sheets print and ready.

From a Marketing point of view i definitely will go with ShadowDark.  Again i don´t know too much about ShadowDark, but from the data is today one of the most selling product and you could approach most players.

For last i didn´t knew you asked about the hexmap, but one suggestion i try and worked for me is using only 1 by 12 hexes per map.  I found it an approachable size and i can use a d12 for a linear probability or 2d6 for a curve probability.  I use 2d6 for a more centralized zone (example around a capital city) or the d12 for one more descentralized (example an island zone).

Hope it helps at least for some brainstorming and sorry for my English.  Not native language.

Doing System Specific would be exhausting and never-ending. New "popular/hot-at-the-time" systems happen. I prefer an update to the solo gaming sheets that you can reasonably accomplish. Blanks work. Letting you complete other games and supplements that we will enjoy. You do really great work that I appreciate.
