Art Commission Card

Sometimes when we commission an artist for piece, I think it's pretty typical (in my experience) that's its a pretty casual affair.
"Hey, love your stuff! Could you make something for this cyber-existentialist game I'm writing?"

"Sure"

Etc etc.

But details can be forgotten. Believe it or not, artists don't always nail it. I mean, the best ones do, OR we're too afraid to say it wasn't quite what we are looking for.

Here's a 5"x7" card. Draw on it digitally and Save As or Export as a new PNG, to send to your artist.

I'm trying these cards for makers and artists alike. A place to record the "pitch", so and artist need not scroll through social media chats, looking for the damn conversation! 

Also, for the maker to be more clear about the details.

They may not work for you, but maybe these could be a useful tool for both parties to organize their comms, include more details, make those details accessible for artists.

There's a small section at the bottom too, regarding notes, feedback, requests for change, that sort of thing.

THIS IS NOT a contract document. Notice, payment not included on the card. It's after that, when you secure the job. Put all the cards in your job folder, so you can just open the PNG to go over those keywords again.

Let me know if you try them or what would be better on here. Remember, they are effectively post-it notes for both parties! Not essays.
